Ørestad School is located in Ørestad on Amager. The whole area is an ever expanding new quarter of Copenhagen that has sprung from the ground over the past ten years. The building, which has eight stories and a floor area of 14,500 m², was designed by KHR A/S with Mikkel Beedholm, MAA, a partner in the firm, as the project architect. The contract was awarded following a competition in 2009 and the school opened in summer 2012.
