Professor Taylor is an academic expert in chaos theory, fractals and the relationship between art & science. At the University of Oregon, he is a Professor of physics, psychology and art as well as the director of the Materials Science Institute. Richard's research focuses on "bio-inspiration" in which artificial systems benefit from using nature's patterns. He is also the leading expert on the artist Jackson Pollock.
