Cole Lighting can produce a wide range of custom products. We are proud of the new bollard produced for the Waterfront development at the Port of Los Angeles.
Mounted to the sides of walkways and gangways, these bollards adorn the slips inhabited by "tall ships" and other visiting vessels of distinction. Constructed of up-to 1/2" thick aluminum panels with custom corner extrusions and a cast aluminum top cap, these heavy-duty bollards incorporate LED illumination on the pedestrian side and T4.5 metal halide on the ship side. Special ribbed lenses were milled from 1/2" acrylic panels. The shape of the cast aluminum cap and "art deco" side decorations were inspired by the nearby historic Los Angeles Maritime Museum's original design. Finishes included a premium, marine-grade fluoropolymer coating with brushed, clear anodized metal accents.
